A company that develops and sells functional clothing, Relieve Co, Ltd. recently introduced a functional clothing product called ‘Relive Wear’. This is unique, because the clothing functions to smooth blood circulation so that shoulder pain, lower back pain or chronic fatigue are reduced or even disappear slowly.
The functional clothing is in the form of a T-shirt. At several points on the shirt there are bubbles containing a kind of special stone powder material made in Japan which functions to smooth human blood flow and warm the body when worn.
Mohammad Yusuf, a middle-aged activist tried wearing the shirt before going to bed at night. The next morning when he woke up he felt fresh and more energetic to start his activities. “I feel light to step and feel fresh to move around” he said.
Inspired by Chinese Martial Arts
Takashi Sasaki, the founder of ‘Relive Wear’ was born with a weak body condition since childhood and was forced to retire from his job. Sasaki decided that 55 years old would be the year to pursue a career ‘finding a way to heal’. Inspired by Chinese martial arts, he wanted to contribute to global health by developing ‘Relive Wear’.
Relive Wear was launched in Japan in 2017. Unexpectedly, the Relive Wear series during the period July 2019 to December 2024 has sold more than 2.3 pieces and is used by various groups including the elderly, physical workers, care workers and athletes.
Takashi said that in his efforts to develop ‘Relive Wear’, his team distributed and verified the effectiveness of Relive Wear in local governments and donated to 10 regions throughout Japan, especially to areas affected by natural disasters such as earthquakes and other disasters.
He is still thinking about whether ‘Relive Wear’ is effective in increasing healthy life expectancy, saving more on medical costs. He also found out through a questionnaire to the trial of local government employees.
Want to market the product ‘Relive Wear’ in Indonesia
Japanese health clothing inventor Takashi Sasaki who is also the Representative Director of Relive Co., Ltd tried to introduce the product in the form of a Health T-shirt and hat, Wednesday 16/4 at Pullman Thamrin, Jakarta before its official launch in the Indonesian market.
In his presentation in front of reporters, Takashi said that the health clothing technology product has been widely used by basketball, volleyball, and ballet dancers.
“Their performance has improved and their achievements have increased. We have collaborated with sports associations and organizations to support Japanese athletes,” he said.
In addition to athletes, ‘Relive Wear’ is also widely used by people with heavy jobs such as farmers, nurses, construction workers, even children and the elderly.
Takashi hopes that the functional clothing company he leads can market and sell Relive technology in Indonesia which has a large population so that it can help make people in the country healthier.
He also hopes that Relive Wear can be produced in Indonesia in the future so that the price of the health shirt, which is currently sold for 8,000 yen (around 945,000 rupiah), can be more affordable for people in Indonesia.
