Bontang – Bird Flu cases steady increase in Bontang. From examination of animal hospital, Monday (16/11), it was found 230 poultries have been infected.
Head of Health of Service Section of Bontang City, Riyono, said that there were 351 animals suspected and 230 of them positif infected
“There are 9 locations of virus transmission which have been detected. On average are in Bontang Baru teritory and same of them in Gamelan Alley, RT 15, RT 19, RT 22, Angklung Alley and Gendang Alley” Riyono said
Government have sterilized by disinfectant spraying to animal cage belong to citizen by using personal protective equipment in complete. Riyono said that bird flu transmission may caused by caused by cage cleanliness and environment around animal untill weather condition
“Weather transition period become a main decrease of poultry immunity and make transmission look massif” Riyono added
It is said that breeder is easy to infected. That is why Riyono appealed to citizen, especially breeder, always use mask and wash hand frequently.
“We sent letter to village office as an allert to be delivered to people” Riyono explained
