Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly Bamsoet Encourages the Government to Create Campervan Technical Standards

JAKARTAChairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly and Chairman of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) Bambang Soesatyo invited the Ministry of Transportation to sit down with IMI and Campervan Indonesia (CVI) officials to develop technical standardization for making Campervans. So that the car body can have a clear reference in fulfilling the design decision letter (SKRBB) and type test from the Ministry of Transportation.

 

Thus, Campervans produced by various bodies can be safer and more comfortable to use on the road. Especially in supporting the growth and development of national tourism. Given the level of demand for Campervans from domestic and foreign tourists is very large and the trend will continue to increase.

 

“The IMI extended family also welcomes the presence of CVI in IMI membership. It further strengthens CVI’s position, both from an organizational standpoint and in promoting the growth and development of the Campervan industry as a support for national tourism. By joining IMI, CVI members who reach hundreds of thousands of people can also get various benefits. Considering that IMI has collaborated with various parties, such as PT Kereta Api Logistik (KALOG), Angkasa Pura Hotel (APH), Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), Sinar Mas Insurance, Siloam Hospitals and various other parties,” said Bamsoet after receiving Campervan Indonesia (CVI) management, in Jakarta, Monday (3/4/23).

The CVI management present included General Chairperson M. Slamet, Advisors James and Hendro Subiyanto, and Supervisor Niti. Also present were the Chairman of CVI West Java Errik Setiawan, Secretary of CVI West Java Hanifullah, Advisor to CVI West Java Albertus Whitney, and Chair of CVI Bogor Eri Permadi.

The Chairman of the 20th DPR RI and the former Chairperson of Commission III DPR RI for Law, Human Rights and Security explained, to strengthen national tourism, Campervan Indonesia (CVI) will be involved in the success of the MotoGP which will be held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit in Lombok, NTB on 13-15 October 2023. Among other things, by preparing MotorHomes which can be used by tourists to stay overnight as well as for crews and racers to rest during racing breaks.

 

“MotorHome’s presence at the MotoGP event will further strengthen Mandalika and Lombok’s position as leading sport automotive tourism destinations, not only in Indonesia but also in the world. Because apart from star hotels and homestays available, in the Mandalika area there is also Campervan land to Camping Ground,” explained Bamsoet .

“Indonesia has tourist destinations that are no less beautiful than New Zealand, which can be supported through Campervan tours. Apart from Bali and NTB, you can also visit the Mount Merbabu Valley in West Java, Cikole and Ranca Upas in Bandung, or at several points in the Mount Bromo area, Java. East,” concluded Bamsoet.
