Kadin Signs MoU with KPK to Prevent Corruption Among Entrepreneurs

Jakarta – The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held a Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This refers to the number of businessmen who have been dragged into corruption cases lately.

“We have seen that the KPK has recently been involved in bribery, so Kadin feels the need to cooperate with the KPK in terms of eradicating and preventing corruption among businessmen,” said Deputy Chairperson of Kadin for Inter-Institutional Relations Bambang Soesatyo at the KPK building, South Jakarta, Friday. (15/4).

Bambang refused if his visit to the KPK was related to the appointment of the President Director of PT Agung Podomoro Land as a suspect. It’s just that he sees the incident that dragged entrepreneurs like President Director Agung Podomoro Land into a starting point to improve the quality of entrepreneurs in Indonesia.

The man who is familiarly called Bamsoet added that it is also possible that today Kadin and the KPK will draft a MoU on the prevention and eradication of corruption among businessmen. “There is cooperation and today there may be a draft of the MoU cooperation between Kadin and the KPK in the field of corruption,” he said.

As is known recently, the President Director of Agung Podomoro Land, Ariesman Widjaja, was involved in giving bribes to the DKI Jakarta DPRD regarding the discussion of the draft regional regulation on the reclamation of the Jakarta Bay.

Before this case emerged, there was also an infrastructure businessman, Abdul Khoir, who bribed members of Commission V of the DPR to smooth out road projects under the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing.
