Jakarta – Lisda Hendrajoni, member of Commision 8 of House of Representative said that as a parents we feel how pitty when see and hear about sexual predator. “Number of sexual crimes to children and women rise significantly like a teror which threat everytime” Linda said, Monday (04/01)
Lisda explained that policy and many efforts is contionously done. However there are not shortened cases and did not give detterent effect. In the las August of 2020, there were 4.833 of sexual cases to the children. In addition, there are many cases with victims who did not want to talk becase lack of law guarantee for victims and affraid of threat
“We are as member of Commision 8 of House of Representative appreciate Joko Widodo President decision to sign bill for chemical castration penalty for sexual crime actor. At least, this penalty will eliminate actor intention” Lisda Hedrajoni said
However, detterent effect hope to be perceived by the actor to avoid the rise of other sexual predators
Lisda said, it is better to follow chemical castration penalty government rule with the legalization of Elimanation of Sexual Harrasment Bill to implement globally.
If this happened, parents will have law guarantee and law protection from state for theirs security and the future of our young generation
