Sleman – Indonesia Journalists Association of Yogyakarta Province and Sidik Martowidyoy, a known painter, will auction two painting for social activities virtually. Auction results will be donated to help Covid-19 and Merapi Mountain volunteer in Wonokerto Turi Village, Sleman
Sidik said that one of painting which will be auctioned is his best painting with the tittle “Pintu Surga” or Heaven’s Door. Meanwhile, another painting is his painting at location directly.
“Another painting is not created yet. Whateever to paint is known yet. It can paint Merapi Mountaint, lake or anything we will see later” Sidik explained when visited in his residence at Kolombo Residency number 11, Caturtunggal Depok Sleman, Sunday (0301)
According to Heaven’s Door painting, Sidik explained that painting told about beautiful place with cloud to depict tranquility and harmony like heaven.
“It is only a door. However, what inside look like we do not know” Sidik said
Sidik painting style is abstract. He is the first Indonesia painter who succeed to exhibit and got two appreciations fro Louvre International Arts in Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, France in 2014
Sidik agree immediately when receive collaboration in social activity with Indonesia Journalist Association of Yogyakarta Province in Indonesia Journalist Assocition care program. Sidik though that live is not only for his self. People have to help each other. He felt burden by Merai refugees including volunteers who help them. In addition, there are a Covid-19 threat
“What a pitty of Merapi refugees if Merapi erupt in the same time of Covid-19 threat. It is of to you the distribution of aid. Whether for refugees or volunteer it’s ok. The botto line is humanity. I am not a social man but if I could help, I will help and try to help the best. It is not propper if I could not give the best” Sidik said
Indonesia Journalist Association Secretary of Yogyakarta Province, Swasto Dayanto, said that Sidik Martowidjoyo painting action will be held in the middle of January 2020. Indonesia Journalist Association care program will support publication to people, run auction even untill aid distribution. Swasto hope that Indonesia Journalist Association care program will contribute positive impact in social circumstance and will be felt by people largely
