The people of NTB came together to celebrate a significant milestone – the 67th anniversary of West Lombok Regency and the anniversary of Bima City. The Regent of Bima, Adi Mahyudi, along with several other regents and mayors from across NTB, attended the ceremonial event held at the Grand Pavilion of the West Lombok Regent’s Office.
In Bima City, the community gathered to commemorate the city’s anniversary with the Rimpu Mantika Festival. The event was attended by various groups, including the Catholic Women’s Organization of the Republic of Indonesia (WKRI), Young Catholic Community (OMK), Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Indonesian National Police (POLRI), and other institutions. HE Mia Srikandi, Regional Director of the Wold Peace Organization (WPO) for the NTT-NTB region, played a hosting role alongside church leaders and representatives from different faiths.
The theme “Bersih, Indah, Sehat, dan Asri” (Clean, Beautiful, Healthy, and Green) was chosen to highlight the region’s beauty and tourism potential. The Governor of NTB, Dr. H. Lalu Muhammad Iqbal, who served as the ceremony’s inspector, praised the Regent of West Lombok, HL. Ahmad Zaini, and the Deputy Regent, Hj. Nurul Adha, for their remarkable achievements in just 40 days.
The Governor emphasized the importance of collaboration between the provincial government and local authorities, stating that the province’s success is built upon the success of its districts. The anniversary celebrations served as a reminder of the need for continued dedication and hard work in serving the community.
