Bank Indonesia continues to strive to improve security aspects in printing Rupiah currency in order to minimize the occurrence of counterfeiting of rupiah currency. One way is by updating the design of the Rupiah banknotes, which are even more complicated so that banknotes are not easily imitated and counterfeited.
Bank Indonesia’s Education Division, Adila Luthfiana, said that the design of the money is attractive so that people are attracted to love and care for money. His party continues to try to do that.
“That way, people will love money more and save it properly. It is also an attitude of our love for the Republic of Indonesia by taking care of our own currency,” he explained.
According to Adila, every year, many banknotes are destroyed because they are in bad condition. Therefore, BI needs to recalculate the need for currency in circulation in the community as the amount of money damaged. He asked the public to pay more attention to safeguarding the feasibility of Rupiah as a means of official transactions in society.
