Indonesia Deal With More Than 2.000 Disaster in 2020  

Jakarta – National Disaster Management Authority (Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana/BNPB) recorded more than 2.000 disaster (99%) from first January untill September 2020 in Indonesia. Hidrometeorologi disaster such as flood, tornado, and landslide are dominant disaster in archipelago. The danger of hidrometeorologi is still a dominant treat untill last year of 2020.

The most disaster is flood with 791 times, 573 times of tornadoes, and 387 times of landslide. Forest fire, abrasion, drought are 314 times, 26 times, and 22 times consequtively. Meanwhile the lowest are eart quake, 13 times, and mount eruption 5 times. Total disasters is 2.131 times

Some of disaster lead to fatalities and lost of treasures. BNPB recorded that 322 died and lost, 454 injured, and 4.481.641 people evacuated. Meanwhile infrastructure damage to residential area is 31.749 hoses, 627 education facilities, 653 worship facilities and 128 health facilities.

Number of incidents untill ninth month of this year decleaned compared to same period of previous year. According to BNPB data, number of disaster in 2020 decleaned to about 25.1% compared to last year. Decleaning of precentage also happened in number of people died and lost, injured, suffer, evacuated and houses damage
