TAPIN – H Rihans Variza finally became the overall champion of the 2023 series-2 South Borneo Rally Championship which ended Sunday (6/8/2023) afternoon at SS 13 at the Balipat Circuit, Binuang, Tapin, South Kalimantan.
Perally the mainstay of Ford’s HRVRT BGM HBM BMB Partners team, who used the Ford Fiesta R5, won 8 out of a total of 13 SS (Special Stage) in the rally which took place from Friday (4/8/2023) and ended today Sunday.
After winning 6 out of 8 SS on Saturday, H Rihans, the son of Binuang, Tapin Regency, returned to appear focused and sharp by winning SS 9 Kampil Reverse 1 and SS 11 Kampil Reverse 2.
While the SS 10, SS 12 and SS 13 were won by the Toyota Gazoo Racing Indonesia duo, Ryan Nirwan – Adi Indiarto with the flagship car Toyota Yaris GR Sport.
H Rihans with senior co-driver Anthony Sarwono scored the fastest total time of 1 hour 20.24.7 minutes, or 1 minute 28.9 seconds faster than H Putra Rizky/M Redwan (LFN Simple Motorsport) won 2nd place and H Rachmat/Hade Mboi (LFN Simple Motorsport) with a gap of 1:37.4.
And, the victory of H Rivans Variza, an all-around racer and a successful young mining entrepreneur, is dedicated to his beloved mother, Hj. Iva Wiendri Sulvana whose birthday was last Saturday.
Apart from receiving the support of his father, HM Zaini Mahdi, H Rihan Variza’s progress in the rally event is also fully supported by his beloved mother.
Support Hj. Iva was not only to his beloved son, during the National Rally Championship series 2 South Borneo Rally 2023 many racer friends and fellow racers who stayed at H Rihans’ residence were also very concerned.
Hj Iva directly took care of Haji Rihans’ friends from Jakarta and other areas in Indonesia, from breakfast to dinner.
