BANJARMASIN – Pemko Banjarmasin made a breakthrough in development by building a floating restaurant on the Martapura River. Banjarmasin Floating Restaurant built on the banks of the Martapura River in front of the Banjarmasin City Hall Office. Since Wednesday (22/9/2020), it is officially opened for public.
The Mayor of Banjarmasin, Ibnu Sina, last Monday (21/09/2020) inaugurated a restaurant that can accommodate 100 people serving various Banjarmasin specialties.
“Today is Tuesday, September 22, the restaurant can operate,” said Sumarno, Head of the Floating Restaurant Cooperative.
Sumarno explained, the restaurant construction was built since early 2019 in collaboration with various related parts, especially 21 cooperatives that are part of the Floating Restaurant Cooperative
“The cost to construct this Floating Restaurant spends more than 1.2 billion,” he added.
He explained that it was done as a form of the active role of the cooperative in the development of the City of a Thousand Rivers in a more advanced direction
“We want to make memories by making a building that can become one of the tourist destinations in order to make Banjarmasin’s people proud.
As well as supporting the Banjarmasin City Government in making Banjarmasin a tourist city, without considering the the profit and loss, “he said
The Banjarmasin Floating Restaurant has fulfilled legality, there are a barge sale and purchase agreement, a water bank usage permit for a Floating Restaurant mooring place, a domicile certificate of business place, business place certificate, business registration number, tourism business registration certificate, PD statement PAL, and a statement of commitment to environmental management and monitoring.
Meanwhile, Ibnu Sina said that the success of the construction of the Banjarmasin Floating Restaurant on the banks of the Martapura River was a remarkable achievement.
On the name of Pemko Banjarmasin he expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all management of the Floating Restaurant Cooperative who have struggled to establish the restaurant.
“Hopefully a new icon for Banjarmasin and this will also be the most beautiful gift for Banjarmasin’s 494th anniversary this year,” said Ibnu Sina in his speech.
