JAKARTA – The general chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), Mardani H. Maming, supports the National Police Chief’s appeal regarding the option of working from home (WFH) or remote working after the Eid holiday. This policy is useful for reducing congestion during reverse flow.
“We support the policy of the National Police Chief, because this is a role model for a new style in working to implement innovation and technology in our lives. This really answers the backflow congestion and God willing, becomes a solution. Breakthroughs like this need to be made,” said Mardani.
He is optimistic that the one-week remote work or WFH policy is effective for companies when they return to their routine as before Lebaran. Therefore, Mardani invites all company owners who join HIPMI to implement this policy.
“It should still be effective, because in the last two years we have been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced us to use information technology in our work. Hopefully this will not reduce the company’s effectiveness in running its business,” said the former Regent of Tanah Bumbu.
By applying WFH to employees, Mardani continued, companies must ensure that KPI (Key Performance Indicators) are implemented properly to avoid the possibility of employees being negligent because they work from home.
“This is a challenge for us together, even though we are not physically present, we can deliver the work in the office/company well. Developed countries have started implementing WFH after Covid,” said Mardani.
