Indonesia Explores Defense Industry Cooperation with Turkey

Ankara – Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto Friday (23/10) conducted a courtesy visit to Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar in the capital city of Ankara, Turkey. When meeting with the Turkish Defense Minister, Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto was greeted with a military ceremony.

In this meeting, the Defense Ministers of the two countries discussed the well-established defense cooperation between the two countries, develop the defense and security situation in the region and cooperation in the defense industry.

During the visit of Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto to Turkey last year on November 26, 2019, the Indonesian Minister of Defense also met with the Turkish Defense Minister to hold a bilateral meeting to discuss defense cooperation which includes defense industrial cooperation between the two countries.

The visit of the Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto to Turkey this time continues a series of trips to strengthen defense cooperation relations with the Defense Ministers of friendly countries.
