SMSI Social Service to Make People Smile

The road and toilet construction assistance provided by the Indonesian Cyber ​​Media Union (SMSI) to the residents of Jaha Village, Pagar Agung Village, Walantaka District, Serang City, made residents feel happy.

Hasanah, a local resident, admitted that her village looks tidier and cleaner. “Since the construction of this road, our village has become neat and clean. It is also nice and comfortable to pass by, ” she said when met by reporters on Sunday (02/06).

So far, Hasanah admits that her village looks shabby because the roads between their villages are still inappropriate, dirt roads that are irregular in shape. “The road is bad, if it rains the road is muddy and slippery.”

Hasanah admits that she often uses motorbikes to cross the village road if he needs to go to a friend’s house. “In the past, especially when it rains, if you want to see you have to be careful so you don’t slip. The road is also muddy so you have to take it slow so that the muddy doesn’t get dirty on your pants.”
Hasanah admits that she is very grateful for their village’s attention and assistance. “If it’s like this our village will be clean,” she said.

The same thing was conveyed by Markani, a local resident. He admitted that he was very grateful that on the 2021 National Press Day (HPN), SMSI helped the residents with a social service program in the form of building sections of their village roads as well. “The road is pretty good, not muddy and slippery because it has been paved.”

According to Markani, his village looked dirty and shabby because of the bad road conditions. “This road is the main road crossing for residents. In the past, when it rained, the roads were definitely muddy and slippery. If you want to pass you have to be careful not to slip.” he said.
For this reason, Markani admitted that he was very grateful for the road construction assistance program from SMSI.

As is known, the HPN event in 2021 has its own nuances compared to previous years. Moreover, it took place in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. For SMSI, this year is the first HPN event for cyber media companies after officially becoming a constituent of the Press Council.

SMSI, which has 1,224 members of cyber media companies, commemorates HPN 2021, one of which is by carrying out social service activities which include the construction of roads and sanitation facilities for bathing and toilet (MCK). The road being built is a new road with a length of 750 meters and a width of 2.5 meters.

The implementation of the social project development is handled by the Central SMSI and also the SMSI Banten Province which is closest to the project location and is fully supported by PT Dwi Ratna Putra.
Apart from road construction, SMSI in the same location is also temporarily building 16 MCK units.

These two social projects are also moments in the history of SMSI which was founded on March 7, 2017.
