The Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Drs. H. Saifullah Yusuf, together with the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, Yandri Susanto, and the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Cyber Media Union (SMSI), Firdaus, began the commemoration of the 2024 National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) at Taman Firdaus, Talaga Village, Mancak District, Serang Regency, Banten, on Monday (16/12/2024).
In this activity, the two Ministers together with more than 700 participants, including Tagana members, village assistants, TNI, Polri, as well as Posyandu cadres and social pillars, carried out community service to clean a one-kilometer river. The river that was previously filled with garbage now looks cleaner and more beautiful. Even though it rained, the enthusiasm of the participants did not diminish, and the event was closed with a meal together.

In his remarks, Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf expressed his appreciation to all parties who supported the implementation of this activity. He emphasized that National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) is an important momentum to show social solidarity in society.
“This activity is real evidence of our social solidarity. With today’s community service, we start the commemoration of HKSN while also providing an example of mutual cooperation to create a better village environment,” said Saifullah Yusuf.
The Minister of Social Affairs also congratulated the elected Governor of Banten, Andra Sony, who is expected to be able to bring this province to further progress. He also thanked Firdaus, the General Chairperson of SMSI, for his role in supporting the implementation of the event at Taman Firdaus.
Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration: Villages as the Foundation of Solidarity
Minister Yandri Susanto emphasized the importance of starting HKSN from the Village, considering that the Village is the foundation of national development.
“There are 75,753 Villages in Indonesia, many of which are prone to disasters. Starting from Talaga Village, we hope to be able to improve welfare and social awareness in other villages,” he said.
He also praised Firdaus’ role as a friend and initiator who made Talaga Village a strategic location for the HKSN Kick Off.
“This is an extraordinary activity because it starts from the Village,” added Yandri.
Firdaus: SMSI Will Continue to Partner for Village Progress
The General Chairperson of SMSI, Firdaus, expressed his gratitude for the presence of the two Ministers in this activity initiated by SMSI. He emphasized SMSI’s commitment to continue partnering with the government in supporting social programs and village development.
“We are grateful for the positive response from the two Ministers. SMSI will continue to collaborate with the central and regional governments for the success of social programs and village progress,” said Firdaus, accompanied by Secretary General Makali Kumar.
Momentum for Strengthening Solidarity
The 2024 HKSN Kick Off activity at Taman Firdaus is a symbol of the start of the simultaneous HKSN commemoration throughout Indonesia. With the collaboration of various elements of society, this activity is expected to inspire other villages to increase social solidarity and strengthen a more resilient environment.
