Jakarta – Indonesia Police have arrested 1.377 people because demonstration for resisting Omnibus Law of Job Creation in Jakarta at Tuesday (13/10)
Head of Public Relation of Metro Jaya Police, Yusri Yunus, explained that 800 of them are senior high school student and the rest are university student and unemployment
“Even five elementary school student, or about 10 years old student, invited and called to make riot” Yusri said in press confrence at Jakarta, Wednesday (14/10)
Police guessed there were parties ride on student to rally on street and make riot. Student gave food and prepared vehicle to reach demonstration location.
“They use ambulance which free to move and private vehicle. All have been detected since the first. They prepared food” Yusri explained
Some of them have been caught on the way to action location from buffer cities such as Bekasi, Depok, and Tangerang
Mass from Alumni presidium of 212 (PA 212) alumni movement and Islamic Defenders Front (Front Pembela Islam/FPI) rally in tuesday noon around presidency palace to refuse Omnibus Law. According to Yusri, chaos happened after PA 212 and FPI mass disperse their selves in the afternoon.
“After that, there were anarchistists infiltrated mass and throwing stone to police officer and another protesters” Yusri added
Police fired tear gas and repelling mass.
However, there were violence by state apparatus in this rally
Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Centre (MDMC) stated that there were 4 volunteers hit by police motocycle and beat by police officer in Menteng teritory, Central Jakarta in Tuesday night. All volunteers are hospitalized in Cempaka Putih Hospital
