500 Aid Packages From Industrial and Trade Office for Affected Communities by Covid-19

Provincial Secretary of Maluku Province, Kasrul Selang, giving an aid package for infected communities by Covid-19

Ambon – Trade and Industrial official office of Maluku Province gave groceries package for affected communities, Friday (11/12) in Governor office

Giving ceremonial run symbolically by Provincial Secretary of Maluku Province, Kasrul Selang, accompanied by Head of Trade and Industrial office of Maluk, Elvis Pattiselano, to three representative people which are Mario Harmusial from Little Soya who fired because Covid-19, Angki Watratan fro Lateri II Tana Misi, a pedicab driver, and Serly Lewerissa, a housewif from Karang Panjang

Provincial Secretary said that Covid-19 made significant impact to people economic need. Responding this situation, Trade and Industry office plan same agendas for empowering craftman, buying production result and give it to Covid-19 affected communities

“Covid-19 caused our brothers impacted economically. That is why it was initiative from Trade and Industrial office of Maluku. Beside of empowering crafthman, we by production result and give them to infected communities” Kasrul Selang said after giving aid

Relating to groceries giving, Provincial Secretary hoped that people do not see to the price of groceries but to benefit that meet people food need.

“Do not look to the price but look to the benefit for receivers. There are 1.000 packages and one of them is for infected communities who fired” Kasrul explain

At the same place and at the same time, Head of Industrial and Trade of Maluku Office, Elvis Pattiselano, said that the giving of 500 packages is the first phase. “One grocery package contain saparua sago, Cakalang Banda fish and Julung fish from East Side of Seram District” Elvis explained

It said that market purchasing power is not stable enought. Government try to empower craftman to keep in producing especially for local product.

“Through Industrial and Trade office, we targetted small industry for economi empowering. Because we know that there were significant inclean production in pandemic time because of incleaning of peopld perchasing power. They keep in production and we (government) by it. As the result, there were income for them and they still in production” Elvis explained

Meanwhile, Mario Harmusial, one of employee who fired because of pandemic, said thanks you to regional government for this groceries aid. At least, food need for his family can be met for the next days

“I said thank you so much to goverment because they give me this package” Harmusial said
