SAMARINDA – The Bukit Bengkirai Forest Park in Samboja, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, is still stunning, and even has extraordinary potential.
In addition, in this forest area there are many trees of various types and information boards for the names of the trees to the adopters and the year they were adopted.
One of the tree adopters in Bengkirai Hill is the Head of the East Kalimantan Provincial Tourism Office, Sri Wahyuni. Even have started adopting trees since 2018
“For information on Bengkirai Hill, we can also adopt trees, #friendpariwisatakaltim,” said Sri Wahyuni while visiting Bangkirai Hill with the Marketing Development Team of the East Kalimantan Provincial Tourism Office, Tuesday 22 May 2022.
Of course, he said, there are several procedures that must be completed. Starting from the initial cost of around Rp. 2 million and the cost of renewal and maintenance of around Rp. 1.5 million per year.
For the type of adoption fee, it depends on the type of tree adopted. The adoption of trees shows the public’s concern for contributing to environmental conservation.
“Moreover, as we know illegal logging is one of the reasons some of our trees are becoming scarce,” he explained.
The East Kalimantan Dispar team while in the Bangkirai Hill area carried out several activities starting with Explore Bengkirai Hill, and tracking approximately 400 meters to the canopy bridge.
During the trip to the canopy bridge, visitors can see many trees with various types and tree name information boards. “For #friendspriwisatakaltim, let’s be a part of preserving our forests,” said Sri Wahyuni.
