The author, wife and their children have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. His wife and children (14 years and 8 years) were infected after the author finished undergoing treatment at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC Wisma Atlet), Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

His wife and children were treated at the Moewardi Regional Hospital (RSDM), the Hospital owned by the Central Java Provincial Government in Surakarta (Solo).

Long before that, the most senior member of the author’s matrilineal family under the patronage of the Datuk Majosindo, in the valley of Mount Merapi, Ranah Minangkabau, West Sumatra, was also confirmed positive for COVID-19 (76). His wife (74) and his first child (54) after a few days also tested positive for COVID-19.

The author received information from the PCR swab which confirmed that the author was positively infected with COVID-19, only about 5 (five) minutes before the author received a call informing the most senior member of the author’s matrilineal family was facing death threats to start a journey to Divine, Almighty God, Allah SWT.

He died about 2 (two) weeks after he, his wife and children were tested negative. However, he is still being treated in the hospital for congenital illness. Like the author, he was indeed a cormobid when he tested positive for COVID-19. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun

On the second day after the author was treated at RSDC Wisma Atlet, the position was still weak, the stomach was still nauseous, news came that was no less surprising than Wonogiri, where the author and family’s permanent domicile. The foster father and teacher as well as the author’s spiritual guide suddenly passed away.

At noon before the afternoon on the fourth day the author was treated at Wisma Athlete received news that based on the results of blood tests in the laboratory, the wife in Wonogiri was confirmed to have typhus. In the morning, during a routine exercise on the 16th floor of tower 6 RSDC Wisma Atlet, the author has just shared with a group of other patients who were all diagnosed early as positive for typhus.

On the sixth day the author was treated, I got sad news, one of the senior matrilineal family members. The author’s father, under the patronage of Datuk Tumanggung, died naturally. He is one of the author’s father’s family who is very kind to the author and the author’s siblings since we were orphaned decades ago.

In normal circumstances, the author should be present at his third funeral. But Allah SWT has its own mystery in His will, the funeral of the three families can only be followed by the author through the WhatsApp video call application in the author’s solitude from one corner of the Wisma Atlet RSDC room, while bowing his head praying to the owner of the mystery of time, Allah SWT , I hope the third is Husnul Khotimah, Allahumma aamiin.

On the seventh day of the author’s independent isolation in Jakarta after leaving the Wisma Atlet RSDC from the 14 (fourteen) days recommended by the doctor, the news was that his wife was admitted to the hospital. There was no choice, the author drove himself back to Wonogiri after about 3 (three) months of not going home. Two days later, based on the results of the PCR swab test conducted by RSD Moewardi Solo, his wife was confirmed positive for COVID-19.

Inevitably, the authors’ two children had to undergo a PCR swab test. The results confirmed that the two children of the author and wife were also positively infected with the COVID-19 virus.

And the author who is less than 3 (three) days from the period of independent isolation recommended by the doctor RSDC Wisma Atlet is again asked to be self-isolated for 14 (fourteen) days by dr. Harsini, Sp.P, person in charge of COVID-19 RSD Moewardi Solo because of the history of contact with the author’s children.

The empirical reality of the above events is of course also added to the reality of the big agenda of the Central Information Commission office, both directly and indirectly, which is the responsibility of the author as entrusted with the mandate of the state as Deputy Chair of the Indonesian Central Information Commission.

The National Coordination Meeting of the Information Commission and the National Meeting of Public Agencies throughout Indonesia which is the joint responsibility of the author and the Chairperson as the one in charge, will only be held in a matter of days.

The peak of the implementation of the 2020 Public Information Openness award was the result of Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) which, although it is a work program in the Institutional Sector, but involves the institution as a whole is also in sight.

The Draft Amendment to the Information Commission Regulation (Raperki) on Public Information Service Standards, which is also entering the final stages of discussion in the Formulating Team, which the author has been coordinating for a long time, has been waiting for.

Routine agendas for information dispute resolution sessions that are forced to be inoperable for the register whose author is the Board of Commissioners.

And other agendas related to offices at the end of 2020.

It was a series of events that inspired the author to give the title of the article above.

At the time of writing, the author and his wife and children have been declared cured of COVID-19, Alhamdulillah wa syukurillah.

The author wants to share with dear readers how our experience as a family is in managing thoughts, feelings, spirituality, optimism amid the COVID-19 pandemic experienced by the author and his family, in the form of this series.

In due course, the author also wants to share his experience of being open to the public about our family’s information that is confirmed by COVID-19 and the care from doctors and medical officers as well as prayers from friends and the public that are very helpful in our family’s efforts towards healing.

It all really, really helps increase immune power. And we all realize that we have no choice but to increase our immunity, because, from the perspective of human effort, only immune power can defeat COVID-19.

*

The construction of the question is something like this: How can a person who is paid and given facilities by the state optimally carry out the obligation to protect the public, such as the oath of office, especially in relation to COVID-19 which is experienced by the author and his family?

Then, the construction of the follow-up question is this: How can this immune power, as the only panacea against COVID-19 currently exist, be increased in the midst of the storm of the series of events, so that we can recover as soon as possible?

Hopefully, with the permission and guidance of Allah SWT, God Almighty, the author will share this experience with dear readers in the next series of writings, Allahumma aamiin.
