Jakarta – Mardani Maming, through his attorney, Irfan Idham, denied the testimony of the President Director of PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN), Christian Soetio who stated that Mardani Maming received a flow of funds in the mining business permit case at the Banjarmasin Corruption Court, Friday (13/5). /2022).
Mardani, said Irfan, emphasized that he had never received any flow of funds from PT PCN or from the defendant Dwidjono Putrohadi in this case. “There is absolutely no flow of funds to Mr. Mardani Maming,” said Irfan.
Previously, Mardani Maming was linked to the alleged bribery case for mining permits (IUP/mining business permits) which ensnared the former Head of the ESDM Office of Tanah Bumbu Regency, Dwidjono Putrohadi Sutopo, because he was the Regent of Tanah Bumbu at the time.
Dwidjono, who is now a defendant in the case, said that Mardani Maming was suspected of being the party who ordered him to be a subordinate for the transfer of the IUP.
Irfan continued, Christian’s statement as a witness at the Banjarmasin Court today, is not true and has no legal basis because the sequence of events is not logical. “Christian in his statement only entered the management of PT PCN in 2021 after Henry Soetiyo died, so where did the unfounded information come from?” said Irfan.
In addition, Irfan said that the testimony of the younger brother of the late Henry Soetio was tendentious because he presented unrelated matters. “What Chistian said is not true and tends to be tendentious, his statement has absolutely nothing to do with the subject of the case because it does not concern the companies PT Permata Abadi Raya (PAR) and PT Trans Surya Perkasa (TSP),” said Irfan.
“The second thing is that Christian tries to convey facts that are not true because Mr. Mardani is not at all in the companies mentioned. So we strongly object to the information presented by Christian,” explained Irfan, who is a member of this Law Firm Decree.
Previously, Mardani Maming attended the trial of this case at the Corruption Court, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan on Monday, April 25, 2022. In his testimony, the former Regent of Tanah Bumbu explained that he dared to sign the decree for the mining business permit because it had gone through a technical review of the Head of the Mining and Energy Office of Tanah Bumbu Regency.
He handed over the technical mining permit to the defendant Dwidjono as a form of delegation of tasks. “What I checked was the initials of the head of the service. If it was according to the rules, then I signed it. He came to bring the decree to me,” said Mardani Maming while testifying at the trial.
Mardani said he received the IUP transfer decree at his desk, after first being initialed by the head of the legal department, second assistant, regional secretary, and the defendant Dwidjono as Head of the Tanah Bumbu Mining and Energy Service. In addition, the application for the IUP transfer has also been submitted to the South Kalimantan Provincial Government to be continued with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
