Jombang – Chief of Presidential Staff (KSP) General (Ret.) TNI Moeldoko visited Jombang, East Java, Friday (17/9/2021). For Moeldoko, Jombang recorded a lot of his life history. Because it was in the City of Santri that the former TNI Commander spent his youth.
Moeldoko is an alumni of SMA Negeri 2 Jombang. Of course, during the visit, Moeldoko also visited his school. He met teachers, as well as students of SMA Negeri 2 Jombang. In addition to providing direction, motivating high school students who are on Jl dr Wahidin Sudirohusodo Jombang.
Previously, the man born in Kediri also made a pilgrimage to the grave of president Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) at the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school. Moeldoko was accompanied by the caregiver Tebuireng KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz. In front of the tomb of the former president, Moeldoko and his entourage offered a solemn prayer.
Finally, Moeldoko performed Friday prayers with orphans at the Islamic Center H Moeldoko Mosque on Jl Raya Kayen, Bandar Kedungmulyo District. The mosque built by Moeldoko is in front of the Jombang – Mojokerto toll exit. This mosque was inaugurated in 2016.
In addition to Friday prayers, the Presidential Chief of Staff also monitored the vaccinations at the venue. Appearing to be accompanying Moeldoko, Jombang Regent Mundjidah Wahab with the Deputy Regent of Sumrambah and Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Communication Forum), and the Camat.
The Covid-19 vaccination at the Moeldoko Islamic Center targets 1000 doses and is open to the public. The vaccine given is the Sinovac vaccine. Vaccinations at the Moeldoko Islamic Center went smoothly and in an orderly manner while still adhering to the Covid-19 prevention health protocol.
To Moeldoko, Regent Mundjidah Wahab expressed his gratitude for the vaccination at the Moeldoko Islamic Center. It was also stated that the vaccination coverage in Jombang Regency which had reached 66.02% for dose 1 and vaccine 2 was 42.77%.
“This achievement is the hard work and synergy of all elements of the people of Jombang Regency, especially health workers who are always ready to be at the forefront of the pandemic. There is also a high level of public awareness to follow vaccination. And the support of all parties, both from the TNI, Polri, in accelerating vaccinations,” said Mundjidah.
