President Joko Widodo and Head of HIPMI Mardani H Maming Discuss Development Issues

Jakarta – Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) H Mardani H Maming met specifically by President Joko Widodo, at the State Palace Monday (11/4/2022). Discuss current issues and development agendas.

“HIPMI today met with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, to discuss the national economic situation. At the same time, he asked for an audience with 34 HIPMI administrators who had just been inaugurated during the new HIPMI management period,” he said.

Mardani said, the meeting with the President also discussed the national economic situation which was met with unexpected things. Like the economic recovery plan that was constrained by the wars between Russia and Ukraine.

“He advised HIPMI young entrepreneurs to always adapt to unexpected situations, it is important that innovation development for young people can run consistently as he did,” he said.

He said that one of them used to be nickel, which had only sent raw materials. But now send semi-finished materials or battery raw materials and it will continue to other minerals. This is able to absorb jobs for the Indonesian people to be welcomed by young Indonesian entrepreneurs, especially in HIPMI. “In order to be able to run especially in welcoming the 2030 demographic bonus that Indonesia will soon face.” he said.

Mardani explained that the meeting also discussed the President’s support for MSMEs throughout Indonesia. He added that before the holiday, the price of basic food items would definitely rise, especially along with the Ukraine and Russia war, something he could not avoid.

“Indeed, it is impossible for all policies to make the community happy, the important thing is that he really wants to prosper his people and the community. Through what I said earlier, to help MSMEs, MSMEs nationally, he requires SOEs and regional budgets to be purchased at least 40%,” he added.
