Starting April 28, 2022, Palm and Cooking Oil Exports are Prohibited

Jakarta – The government has finally imposed a ban on the export of palm oil and cooking oil. This was conveyed directly by President Jokowi in a virtual press conference, after chairing a meeting to meet the basic needs of the people at the Palace.

“The government prohibits the export of raw materials for cooking oil and cooking oil starting from Thursday, April 28, 2022 until the time limit is determined later,” said Jokowi, quoted from the official YouTube of the Presidential Secretariat, Friday (22/4/2022).

With this policy, it is hoped that the availability of cooking oil in the country will improve. The price is also expected to go down.

 

“I will continue to monitor and evaluate policies so that the availability of cooking oil in the country is abundant at affordable prices,” said Jokowi.
