BANJARMASIN – It is certain that the former Head of Transportation Agency of Banjarmasin, Drs. Kasman, will soon be executed by the prosecution. This is because Kasman’s cassation on his case was rejected by the Panel of Justices at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia.

From the information obtained, in the cassation verdict, Kasman was sentenced to 4 years and a fine of Rp. 200 million and if he does not pay, he will be jailed for 6 months. Meanwhile, the compensation was charged to the other two defendants, namely Mahmudi and Ir Fahmi Nurahman

While at the first court level at the Banjarmasin Corruption Court, the three defendants were found to have violated Article 3 jo 18 UURI No. 31 of 1999 as amended and added to UURI No. 20 of 2001, concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption article 55 jo 64 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.

The head of the Banjarmasin Transportation Agency was sentenced to prison for 16 months and paid a fine of Rp. 50 million in subsidies for three months. In addition, he was required to pay Rp. 30 million in compensation if he could not pay for three months.

Meanwhile, Mahmudi’s staff was also sentenced to prison for 16 months and a fine of Rp. 50 million subsidies for three months and paid Rp. 115 million in compensation if they could not pay, then the brackets increased for 2 months.

Defendant Fahmi as the contractor was given a longer period of 20 months and was required to pay a fine of Rp. 50 million subsidies for three months and pay compensation of Rp. 46,146,000, – if he could not pay, his imprisonment increased for a year and eight months.
