BANJARBARU – Starting from a survey of the needs of students of the PSKM FK ULM of Specialization in Health Policy Administration, six students of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan succeeded in developing an application for an online dictionary looking for health terms.
They call it “Health Policy Administration Student E-Dictionary Application”, which is an online dictionary application containing AKK (health policy administration) terms.
The six students are Zuhrufa Wanna Yolanda (PSKM FK ULM class of 2017), Riana (PSKM FK ULM class of 2019), Muhammad Naufal Hibatullah (PSKM FK ULM class of 2019), Ananda Ersiannisa Fadiah (FMIPA Computer Science Study Program class of 2019) and Qusnul Aqidatul Izzah (Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program class of 2018).
Zuhrufa, Chairman of the Student Creativity Program for Entrepreneurship Team (PKM-K), hopes that this application is useful for all groups, such as academics, health activists and students. “This application really helps us to make it easier to search for Health Policy Administration (AKK) terms quickly and precisely,” said Zuhrufa Thursday (24/9/2020).
Meanwhile, Fauzie Rahman SKM MPH as the supervisor and one of the lecturers at PSKM FK ULM said that this application is very easy to use.
“The way it works is quite simple, users only need to enter the terms they want to search,” explained Fauzie. Within seconds, the meaning of the term appears bilingual in both Indonesian and English.
Prof. Dr. dr Syamsul Arifin, Professor of Health Policy Administration at FK ULM, said that the presence of this dictionary can be used as the main reference book for understanding various terms.
This dictionary also received appreciation from the Chairperson of the Indonesian Health Policy Administration College, Dr. Ede Suryadarmawan BSc PH MDM. “For practitioners, this dictionary can be a refresher and a reference that makes work easier,” said Ede.
Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture through the Student Creativity Program for Entrepreneurship (PKM-K) also provides support in the form of funding. Not only that, thanks to the support from the Study Program and their supervisors, they were finally able to create these works.
Currently, this application can be used by Android users by downloading it from the Playstore. Print dictionaries can also be ordered online via Instagram at @edictionarypkm or via Shoppe. In the future, this application will be further developed so that the vocabulary increases and adds other interesting features.
