Bank Indonesia Representative Office for South Kalimantan Province (BI South Kalimantan) will provide Rupiah exchange services during Ramadan. These activities are summarized in the header SERAMBI 2023, an acronym for “The Lively Rupiah of Ramadan and the Blessings of Eid Al-Fitr 2023”. The opening (launching) of SERAMBI 2023 will be held tomorrow, Tuesday (21/03).
In a statement released by South Kalimantan BI Public Relations, South Kalimantan BI Director Budi Widihartanto said, previously his party had carried out a series of trials of innovative rupiah exchange services, namely mobile cash along the Martapura river on March 14 2023, and drive-through money exchange services. ) at the South Kalimantan BI office on March 16, 2023.
From the results of the trial, Budi said that public interest was quite high. So that in order to meet the demand for currency for the public in sufficient quantities, appropriate types of denominations, and quality suitable for circulation (clean money policy), BI Kalsel will continue cash exchange services during the month of Ramadan.
“There are three types of exchange service innovations that we will carry out during Ramadan. Namely mobile cash along the Martapura river using a motorized boat (kelotok), money exchange services without getting off the vehicle (drive-through), and mobile cash at the Wadai Ramadan Market using cash cars,” said Budi.

Second, a money exchange service without getting off the vehicle at the South Kalimantan BI office, Jl. Lambung Mangkurat No.15 Banjarmasin, will be carried out nine times. Namely at the opening of the 2023 SERAMBI activities on March 21 2023, then on 3 to 2023. April 6 2023, and the 10th to.d. April 13, 2023.
Finally, mobile cash services at Wadai Ramadan Market will be held alternately at Banjarmasin’s zero kilometer Siring Park, and Banjarmasin’s Siring Pandang Tower. A total of four times, starting from the 10th s.d. April 13, 2023.
Apart from going through the three exchange activities carried out by the South Kalimantan BI, Budi also reminded and appealed that the public can also exchange Rupiah through commercial bank branches and BPRs in South Kalimantan.
