BANJARMASIN – The Islamic University of Kalimantan, Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari, Banjarmasin, is holding an online (virtual) MTQ competition for college student levels throughout Indonesia.
Registration for the online MTQ competition in collaboration with the South Kalimantan Government starts from September 10 to October 5, 2020. Video submission from September 20 to October 10 2020, announcement of finalists (live) on October 15 2020 and grand final via Zoom Meeting: October 18, 2020.
MTQ online competes branches of Qur’an tartil and youth preachers. Surah and the theme of the competition, maqra tartil Qur’an surah that is read is surah Ali Imran verse 1 (and so on) or surah Al A’raf verse 1 (and so on).

Meanwhile, Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Uniska MAAB Banjarmasin, Abdul Hafidz said those who are interested are invited to register themselves.
“For those who have the competence, experience and capacity in the Qur’an recitation competition and also young da’i,” he said, Monday (21/9/2020)
Abdul said, the aim of the activity is to remind the Indonesian people who are still shackled by the COVID-19 pandemic. “So we all have high hopes, hopefully God will quickly lift this virus. Allah gives all of us safety, health and blessings for all of us,” he said.
