SBBE Follows Indonesia Bimmerfest 2023 in Mandalika Circuit Lombok

The BMW car community is holding an international event entitled, Indonesian Bimmerfest (IBF) 2023.

BMWCCI Lombok West Nusa Tenggara Chapter acted as host. Activities are centered on the Mandalika International Circuit as the main event venue with the theme “Mandalika Unites All” on November 10-11.

South Kalimantan BMW fans, as one of the big family of Bimmers clubs throughout Kalimantan, including Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, never miss the annual event which is routinely filled with thousands of BMW cars from Indonesia, Asia, and visiting Bimmers from Europe.

Person in Charge (P.I.C.), HM Arief Husaini, explained that this activity was also attended by 15 South Kalimantan (SBBE) participants in 4 BMW cars.

God willing, we will arrive in Mandalika Lombok on 8 or 9 November 2023, by sea via Surabaya then continue on the sea toll road from Tanjung Perak to the NTB Lombok’s Selamat port. “Currently we have entered the Surabaya area,” explained H Arief when contacted via his cellphone.

In this mission, SBBE will take part in the BMW contest, in which case the assessment will be determined by the host of the BMWCCI Lombok Chapter, namely the theme of the characteristics of batik culture and carvings typical of each participating region in Indonesia.

Among the dozens of participants from SBBE, next, a special participant will be joined, namely the Chairman of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) South Kalimantan, Ir H Edy Sudarmadi, who is currently officially appointed as Chairman of the SBBE Board of Trustees.

“As a veteran Indonesian automotive figure, of course he is very enthusiastic about this event which is fully supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy,” he explained.

He hopes to win the championship title from various competition events presented by the committee. “Especially, pray for us to be successful in winning the main door prize in the form of a BMW E30 car, amen,” he hoped.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the BMWCCI Lombok Chapter, Hamid Fahmi Ardiyanto, when contacted via his cellphone, last night, explained that thousands of Bimmers (the nickname of BMW enthusiasts, ed) throughout Asia, including delegates from this car manufacturer, namely Germany, would certainly flock to the Mandalika International Circuit for the event during 2 days 2 nights.

“Insha Allah, thousands of Bimmers are certain to attend, plus around 500 BMW cars which are currently registered will appear at the IBF 2023 event, perhaps there will be more closer to the big day,” said Fahmi.

As for the series of events themselves, he explained, the theme they are carrying is aimed at uniting all motorcyclists throughout the Asian region, and don’t forget that in this event which is fully supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, all lines of creative economy actors and tourism actors are all united in one IBF platform. this 2023.

“Bimmers are also challenged to have the opportunity to compete in skills at the Mandalika Circuit on November 10, which we will package in the Time Attack, Speed ​​Hunter sessions, and for non-racing participants, we will also pamper them to enjoy the circuit track used for MotoGP and WSBK in this session. “So all the cars that attend will feel the sensation of passing through a circuit which is now in the international spotlight,” explained Fahmi.

Regarding food, participants don’t need to be afraid of going hungry, this event also holds a culinary and MSME festival, while being entertained by a number of artists and talented DJs on the main stage. As a form of welcome, this event itself will be opened with BImmerfest Culture which will feature the arts of Peresean, Gendang Beleq, and Gandrung.
